No high school diploma? Get your career on track

Monday, February 06, 2012
People who have no high school diploma earn $ 200,000 less over their lives than graduates, and at least $ 800,000 less than college graduates, according to statistics released by the Center for Education Information Resources.

Today, people who never finished high school have a variety of options to help them get their diplomas and change their lives.

Careertel, for example, represents the Diploma Program Liberty School, which is giving the adults without a high school diploma the opportunity to be graduates of the school through home-based distance learning.

"We in Careertel can help you get your high school diploma and achieve their goals toward a career," said Jerome Polvay, president of Careertel. "If you set your goals before you know it, the impossible is possible."

The program, approved by the State Board of Education in Vermont, is designed to be a convenient way for busy adults to get their diplomas without valuable time work and other obligations. Exams are mailed, the faculty advisors to provide material support and the course telephone is provided to each class.

Studies show that a student with a high-level diploma, rather than an equivalency certificate, have a greater chance of getting a job and survive the rigors of higher education.

Liberty curriculum, including courses such as government, science, math and U.S. history, has been carefully selected to enable students to get the full experience of high school and successfully complete the requirements to pass higher education, vocational training or a job that pays wages life.
